Abstract Rheumatoid Arthritis is a systemic disabling disease with significant excess mortality, which is partly caused by renal disease. -In Rheumatoid Arthritis, serum creatinin can overestimate renal function by as much as 30%, and it is suggested that more sensitive methods such as measuring urinary albumin excretion used for monitoring renal function and the study showed that: * Urinary Albumin concentration was found significantly high in R.A. patients up to 40.5% *Also concentration of urinary Albumin was found significantly correlated to pain score, disease activity index, number of active joints, ESR, IgM and IgA RF. -Finally we recommend the measurement of urinary Albumin as a routine investigation for R.A. patients. |
