This study has aimed to present an analytical view of the concept of mind in the Christian philosophy through two great philosophers had a great influence in the 13th and 14th centuries and they are Scott and Okham. The reason of my choice for them could be that Scott has a deep sense of individualism, a refined idea of freedom so it became difficult for him to follow tradition without complete originality and absolute freedom, as for Okham; he is the example of calm mind and thought, the mind of the elite thinkers, as his scientific mind as well as his religious mind are the aim of deep transformation that happened for knowledge and philosophy in the 14th cen, as philosophy has been freed from delusions in which both Aristotle and scholastic philosophies were lost and astray during the 12th and 13th centurie, the study is dealing with essential problematic issues concerned with displaying the role of mind in the Christian philosophy in the light of the philosophy of each Scott and Okham and these issues came as follow: what are the intellectual effects that form the philosophical essence of Scott and Okham?how was the argument between Scott and Okham about kowledge theory(epistemology) and the problem of totalities is the main source to form all philosophical ideas?Scott and Okham have given , though in a different degrees, the mind power and freedom towards the religious believes, and this because of trust in its abilities and capabilities, and believe that the existance of mind and faith together will achieve truth and reality and that the cohesion of good mind with will is considered a source of the moral goodness, so how was this? And the most important results achieved by the study: The importance of Scott and Okham stems from that they presented a spicific and clear analysis in the field of knowledge by the end of the 13th cen. And the beginning of the 14th cen, as they were thinking in issues and problems deeply than before, and they adopted ideas do not associate with them as Christian theologians and finally the study had achieved that the last phases of medieval ages had contributed clearly in developing the civilisation as the wake of mind( thinking ) has begun gradually till it reached its climax in the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries on the hands of Bilard, Alaquin, Roger Becan, Scott and oKham and this general and total image of development appears clearly in the modern thinking.
