Abstract Recently, plant growth regulators are widely used to decrease the time of fruit ripening, improving their properties and increasing their products and they have many hazardous effects on human health and different body organs especially liver and testis. Some of these regulators are already studied and some of them not enough studied. On the other hand, the using of natural products such as proanthocyanidin (antioxidant substance present in grape seeds) as antioxidant agent may prevent or reduce such hazards. Therefore, the aim of this study is to demonstrate the adverse biological action of these plant growth regulators on liver and testis of male rats and their effect on fertility. In addition to demonstrate the possible role of proanthocyanidin to protect or minimize these effects. |
