The study esternates also the s~-pply re-qonse function 32 :he agricut laral crops, the :zuarzntee p r i c e s or’ the a g r i c u l t u r a l !, crGps and Yae studying of economic impacts of the agricultwal prices l i b e r a l i z a t i o n on some economic variables ol’ the a g r i c u l t u r a l sector. The nost important r e s u l t s are: 1 . The terms of trade of the agriculturzl sector goes on the benefit or” -the sgricuitural sector i n general during the ;eriod sf 1975 - 1990. This reduces the barden 04 farmers on the agricult-usi sector in the Socisty . 2, The agricultursl prices does n o t go oa the same l i n e with the continual increase in the costs of production for the crops of cotton, r i c e zn3 sugar-mne within the 2eriod from 1970 to 1992. 3. The Tax burden 5as been reduced on the farmers .,vho prociuce tne ’najor crops such rzs corn, sugar-cane ,broad bean md xheat 3ut not for cotton 2nd rice. ’i’his i s ’ciecau~e of the producers receive prices of the u n i t outpu5 equals t o the cpportunity cost of such crops ( The zasgin price). 4. IThe agricultu-ral :narke ting efficiency for cotton, r i c e , corn, sugar-cane, wheat and broad Sean is low and has e decreasing trecd for sucn crops during the study period. 5. The most effective variables of the study model of the expected and zctual prices are followed by the cet return per feddan i n previous year as nell as production costs and r e l a t i v e p r o f i t . 6. The best estimate of the a g r i c u l t u r a l prices of the crops should be the prices which are designed on the principle of the world absolute prices, 7. The presence of some postive e f f e c t s are due t o the following : The l i b e r a l i z a t i o n policy of a g r i c u l t u r a l prices in the shape going on the terms of trade for the benefit of the a g r i c u l t u r a l sect or. The increase of the a g r i c u l t u r a l area of the study crops except cotton. The increase of the s e l f s u f f i c i e n t r a t e besides the increase cf the economic efficiency for the most of these crops.
