Abstract
The records were callected du~ing-t he pe~iodfr om 1963 t o 1980. The t o t a l nurfibe~ of ~ecords dealt with 592 milk record of se~uencies ranging from the first t o the seven lactation . The effect of some non-gsnetical factors s~rch as : parity, season of cdving, l a c t a t i o n length, age, calving i n t e r v a l , preceding dry period service period on I n i t i a l niLk yic.16, total and 305- day milk yields . The r e l a t i o n between i n i t i a l milk yield, t o t a l and
305-day milk yields, and the eff sct of p a r i t y , season of calving aad calving i n t e r v a l on l a c t a t i o n length , calving interval , preceding dry period and service period of Egyptian buffdoes were also studied . The results obtained could be sumniarized i n the following :- 1-- The ove r a l l average of i n i t i a l milk y i e l d w a s 653,47+8,84 kg, in all studied records - . 2- The overall average of t o t a l milk yield was 2154.58+ - 27,81 kg, i n 3-11 studied records, 3- The overall average of 35-day uilli yield was 1880.18 +23,54 kg, in all studied recc~ds.
