Abstract The host-parasite relationship between soybean and some plant paraeitic mematodee was studied. In addition, the effect of inoculation with -mizobium Japonicum, infection with soybean mosaic virus, fertilization with nitrogen, andgw treatment with some systemic nematicides on the soybean-nematode. . relationship were also included. Reaults can be summarized as follows: I. Occurrence of nematodes in ,soybean fields: Ten genera of nematodes, including parasitic and saprobiotic fornus, were registered in rhizoaphere soil sample~l collected from soybean fielda looated in Beheira and Kafr ElSheikh Governomtea. Among the plant paraaiti c nemtodea , stunt nematode; Tylenchorhynchua s_g~,~spiraln ematode;tlelicotylenchus a,*les ion nematode; Pratylenchus x.,an d Lance nematode; Hoplolaimua app, were the moat predominant genera, Saprobiotic included Tylenchua 11, Response of soybean plant to infection by root-knot nema-@ Inoculation of aoybean plant with -M, incognita at different levels (9000, 18000 & 36000 juvenilea/pot) reaulted in a significant reduction of the growth rate, The reduction of growth rate as well as histological reaponae to infection were correlated to the iaoculum level . |
