Abstract The study was carried out on tomato plant cv. Ace in the farm of Kafr El-Sheikh Faculty of Agriaulture during the summer season of the years 1985 and 1986, Plants were grown in 25 cm-pots, The main objective of thSs research was to study the response of tomato plant, after transplanting, to watering regime (levels) and some antitranspirants concentrations, and so the interaction between these two factors.Concerning watering regime, two levela were followed : 1) regular level-where each pot received 100-150 ml of water, added as needed, at 1 to 2-day intervals. 2) below regular level- where each pot received $ 75-100 ml of water, added at 1 to 2-day Intervals, proportionally to the regular level. As f o r a n t i transpirants , two substances were tested, Vapor Gard (v.G.) and W i l t Pmf (W.P. ) as emulsions in water at concentrations of 1, 2, 3% and the control. Treating the plants was done by immersing the foliage of the seedlings in the emulsions, just before transplanting. |
