Abstract
Over the last few years, there has been a tremendous interest in antibodies binding cardiolipin. The anticardiolipin antibodies were found to be associated with thrombosis, repeated abortion and thro~nbocytopei~ia.Hyperlipideinia, especially hypercholesteroleinia plays a major role in the pathogenesis of IHD. Also abnomalities in lipoprotein fraction, particular LDL and HDL are well known to cardiovascular risk.The present study was designed to determine whether the presence of ACA constitute a risk factor for the occurrence of myocardial infarction or not in relation to the other risk factors e.g. TG, TC, HDL-C, and LDL-C.
