Abstract
1- The seeda were supplied by the Egypeim Xinisrtry of Agriculture, Cot ton Breeding Departnent. The variety >was Giza 68, (aelfed), 2- The combined H202(0.5%) and Laser treatment was Fmplernented >at the Military Academy of Science, Cairo. 3- Three doses of the xuby Laser (0.2 MeV,, 1.7 V, md 3*6 W-) were used for three exposure times for each (10, 20 ad 100 min. f o r the first dose and 5, 10 and 25 mh. -f o r the second wd the third) t o t a l l i n g nine treatments plus the non-treated control. 4- The f i e l d experiments were implemented according t o a randomized complete block design (1976 and 1977)at Sd&a Agricultural Research Stationa~ Fam. 5- Pollen grains (1976) were treated ~5th the lowest dose on the ruby Laser (0.2 M.W. ) alone f o r three exposure times (5, 20 md 25 mfn,) then used ;in hybridization with non treated plants but d i d not succeed in seed or boll formation, 6- The man trwmissible effects at the population level of H202 and the Laser were on seed gemination in the f i e l d which was depressed (1976 and 1977)
