Abstract
The present thesis includes six chapters and the contents are subdivided into introduction, aim of the work, experimental, results and discussion as well as concluding remarks . In chapter (I), a literature survey is given on the interest and chemico-physical studies of silicon nitride refractories prepared by dkfferent methods and
sintering techinques, Chapter (111, includes a detailed account about the mode of preparation, hot pressing techniques and the experimental procedures used for the chemico - physical investigation of the synthesised hot-pressed silicon nitride (HDSN) materials doped with various amounta of MgO in minor, Chapter (111) comprises results and discussion attained in detailed manner of the chemico-physical data on the present prepared refractory material~~entirely in the solid state.
