Abstract

This study includes three parts, the first part is ecological studies dealing with the physiological setting of the concerned species, the
second part deals with their eco-physiological responses , while the third
part aimed at the dissolving germination constraints of the plants under
study by applying some physical and chemical treatments.
The first part includes the natural vegetation in the sites, where each
of the studied plants was analyzed to determine the density , relative
density , frequency , relative frequency, cover, relative cover, abundance,
relative abundance and importance value of the concerned plants;
Balanites aegyptiaca, Capparis decidua and Delonix elata and their
relations to other associated species.
In the second part, light was thrown on different physiological
processes of the species under study. These physiological processes,
including seasonal variations in mineral ion contents, total available
carbohydrates, proteins and free proline content were concerned.
In the third part germination experiments were conducted to study
the effect of sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, constant and alternating
temperatures on the germination of the studied species from the South
Eastern corner of Egypt (some vallies in Gebel Elba).
