Abstract

Schislosomiasis represents one of the most common health in Egypt. Traditional antischistosomal drags found to be mutagenic, carcinogenic and recently resistance to praziquantel lias been demonstrated.
Now Myrrh is a. herbal, safe and effective product for treatment of all types ofschistosomiasis. In present study 40 male adult golden hams[crs with body weight 80-120gm were used. They were subjected to the same environmental conditions and were divided into four groups: Group 1 (Control group): ten animals were given saline solution by I.P. injection.
Group 2 (Infected non-treated group): ten infected animals were given saline solution by I.P. injection.
Group 3 (treated group): ten animals were given commiphora.-
molmol (Mirazid) at a dose of250mg/kg body weight suspended in normal saline.
Group 4 (Infected treated group): ten infected animals were given Mirazid at a dose of250mg/kg body weight suspended in normal saline.
Histolo^ical and bistochemical methods :
I. Haemaioxylin and Eosin stain: for routine histological examination.
II. Methyl ^reen pyromn: to detect both dcoxyribonucleic acid(U.N.A.) and ribonucleic acid (R.N.A.)
