Abstract
This study aims at receiving all possible researches addressing the uterine artery embolization as a management option for treating uterine fibroids in order to:
* Determine the efficacy and safety of UAE in relieving the symptoms of uterine fibroids as compared to alternative surgical treatments and the natural history of the condition.
* Identify the adverse outcomes associated with UAE compared with other surgical treatments
* Propose guide lines for the management of uterine fibroids using the uterine artery embolization technique with regard to: patient selection, type of embolizing substances, pre- and post operative care and follow up plans
