Abstract

The health care indoor environment is controlled by those features built health care entity that are created, structured, and maintained to support quality health care. As patients and their families have become more involved in the course of care, facilities need to respond to the changing requirements for accommodations. As technology changes, flexibility is in the best inter of quality care. As health care economics apply pressure to management design should make every effort to enhance the performance, productivity, satisfaction of the staff in order to promote a safe environment of c Creativity should be encouraged in the design process to enhance the indoor and outdoor environment of care since there is a strong interacting ii between both environments.
The aim of the study was development of environmentally integrated engineering basis of design to improve the hospital indoor air quality, t water quality feeding the hospital, and achieve better management hospitals’ hazardous waste. Through:- 1) Conducting an analysis for indo and outdoor environmental conditions in selected hospitals to set the basis design for the pre-treatment facilities to be installed ahead of the HEPA flit to prolong its service life time. 2) Analyze the selected hospitals’ intake water and the in-hospital distribution system to identify measures to ensure provision of water with proper quality for the various uses. 3) Study the design of the hazardous waste autoclaving housing facilities to set the basis of the proper environmental integrated design. 4) Set the basis of design based on the findings of the environmental auditing
This study presents five hospitals in different localities and service area for different urban areas with different population standards of education an social status.
