Abstract
This work was carried out ill two successive seasons 1992-93 and 199]94 to study the effect of calcium chloride as pre and post-harvest application and hot water post-harvest treatment on storabiliry and keeping quality of ”Anna apple fruits , also to study the ultrastructure changes of fruit epidermal cells ill relations 10 pre-and postharvest CaCI2 treatments during cold storage. ”Anna” apple trees were about 7 years old grafted on MM lOG rootstock, and planted ill El-Atwa El-Baharia, Gharbia governorate. III both seasons trees were sprayed with CaCl 2 solutions, 0.5% three times, 40, 55 and 70 days after full bloom. I% one spray, 40 days after full bloom . 2% one spray, 40 days after full bloom.
