Abstract
The effect of the two winter cover crops berseem alexandrinum) and broad beans (Vicia faba) on growth of Navcl orangc and nlandarin nurslings grown in the field and in pots werc tested during 1993194 and 1994195 scasons in the expcrimcntal farm of thc Faculty of Agriculture, IbSs El-Shcikh, Tanta University. Mcan shoot length, thc total Icngth of’ shoots per nursling, increment in trunk diameter percentage, total leaf area, leaf dry weight, toplroot ratio, and leaf NPK content werc tlctcnnined. Some root parameters, such as; root volume, root dry weight, thc total root length, and thc total capacity or thc root surface wcrc also detemined.
