All subjects were subjected to the following: • Careful history taking andclinical examination to exclude systemic and other cardiac disease. ; ; • • Plain chest x - ray. postero - anterior view to exclude cardiomegaly and lung diseases. • Laboratory examination in the form of blood sugar and serum urea and creatinine to exclude diabetes and kidney dysfunction. ., • Resting electocardiogram to exclude left ventricular hypertrophy and ischemic heart disease parameters. • Echocardiogram to exclude cardiomyopathy f valvular heart diseases and to evaluate diastolic function of the right ventricle through transtricuspid Doppler flow velocity (AlE ratio) and diastolic function of the left ventricle through transmitral Dopplerflow velocity (AlE ratio). Statistical analysis was done between cases and control in right and left . ventricular filling velocities parameters. We found that diastolic dysfunction in: patient with cataract 60% in right and left ventricle. |
