Abstract
A study was conducted in the research farm of Faculty of Agriculture -Tanta, Univ., Kafr El-Sheikh branch during the successive season 200012001 on corn crop under delta soil conditions. Four operating pressure heads values (12, 10, 8 and 6 m), three irrigation intervals (daily irrigation, two days interval and three days interval) and three types of emitters (Long path, Simple orifice type and Built-in emitter) were the factors under study. The present work had been achieved to study the following: 1- The suitable management of irrigation system for Delta land. 2- To recommend what type of emitters should the farmer use. 3- The effect of some different operating conditions for drip system on crop yield compared with surface irrigation. 4- Cost-benefit ratio for different system.
