Abstract Low levels of pesticides which do not cause mortality can influence the success of a predator as a result of behavioural modification, so the present study was directed to evaluate the bioactivity of certain pesticides (i.e. fenpyroximate, malathion and propoxur) or their alternatives (i.e. mineral oil [CAPL-21 and plant extracts [black cumin, wormseed]) and a commercial product of the entomopathogenic fungi, (Beauveria bassiana) against certain sucking pests (i.e. two-spotted spider mite and aphid). The tested alternatives were also evaluated when combined in mixtures with pesticides. |
