Abstract
Rheumatic fever is a multifactorial condition (polygenic and
environmental). Dermatoglyphics is the study of the skin ridges present
on the digits, palms, toes and soles. Factors determining rheumatic fever
in-utero may influence dermatoglyphic patterns. So the following study
has been undertaken to detect the presence of correlation between
dermatoglyphics and rheumatic fever.
