Abstract
SUMMARY
Secretory otitis media is one of the commonest
diseases of childhood , it has been found that up to 80
percent off all children experience at least one episode of
secretary otitis media by the age of five years (Tos et aL,
1984) •
• Adenoid hypertrophy is the most important

• Antibiotics and steroids.
• Decongestants.
• Nasal drops.
* Period of Medical treatment, 2- 4 week
supported by 25, < 4 weeks by 19 & > 1 week by 2.
* Criteria for surgical treatment, 21 support failure

* Surgical treatment, 21 Myringotomy and
