Abstract
Cyclosporin (Sandimmune) is a unique, powerful immunosuppressive agent of fungal origin. Cyclosporin represents the first of a new generation of immunosuppressive agents that have a potent immunosuppressive properties but with low myelotoxicity.It has a major impact on organ transplantation and significantly improved graft survival rates but with some adverse effects. The most important of these are nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity as well as gastro-intestinal and neurological troubles.Our aim of this study was to evaluate the side effects of this drug on the different cell components of the pancreas.
