Abstract
The aim of this investigation is to: determine the indiv idual effects of changing the cutting conditions and workplace materials on the impact force determine the effaces of cutting conditions side rake angle and work materials on the cutting force developed during shaping operations and investigate the validity and the ecowlmy of applying the response surface methodology then to determine the effects of changing the cutting conditions on the cutting force in shaping operations.
