Abstract
The electrochemical coupling of reactive anode to an air cathode provides a battery with an inexhaustible cathode reactant and in some cases a very high theoretical specific energy the evaluation of these systems is determined by the capacity limit determined by the ampere hour capacity of the anode and the technique for handling and storage of the reaction produt these considerations were the reason for many attempts that have been made over the years to develop practical systems.Σ
