Abstract
The object of this work to throw light on the Hurst effect in storage and to investigate the different models which deal With it.
Hurst’s empirical law, its modification, and theoretical work on crude, adjusted and resealed ranges are introduced .
The expected crude range and the expected adjusted range of partial sums of gamma (m) summands are discussed.
Also Spitzer (22) lemnia. is applied to ftad, for the ftrat time, the expected c and adjusted ranges for non-central X2 sumniands. An investigation of all the results obtained before by different authors is given and It in found that the results obtained by using this procedure is quite good.
