Abstract
The main objective of this work is to study the efficiency of aminotriazole, gramoxone and sevin applied as spray in defoliation of giza 69 variety of cotton plant and their effect, in turn, on the late opening of bolls and other characters of the yield. The chemicals are in two concentrations as well as two times of application under low (30 kg nitrogen per feddan) and high (90kg nitrogen per feddan) levels of nitrogen fertilization. Leaf analysis for the contents of pigment, carbohydrates and nitrogen are made to follow the physiological effects of the chemicals on the plant .
