Abstract The present study aims to investigate some of the viruses that naturally infect the soybean (G. Max merr.) In Egypt and to determine their effect on the yield and the morphology of infected plants. Two isolates are mechanically transmitted to soybean plants, isolates are identified according to their symptomology, host range and physical properties as being isolates of soybean mosaic virus, and designated as SMV-M and SMV-S. The two isolates induce mosaic, crinkle. Leaf curl and stunting on infected soybean varieties. |
