Abstract
In this work, chlorination and bromination of some aromatic compounds are studied . Attempted fluorination of some highly chlorinated aromatic acids and their derivatives and preparation of some highly halogenated lactones, oxazolones and arylidene phthalides have been investigated. The assigned structure of all products is substantiated from analytical data, i.r. and u.v. Spectra.
