Abstract
A total of 56 six months old barki ram lambs with weight average from 22.7 to 25.4 kg are used in two trials (1981 - 1982) . The experimental station is located at maryout and belongs to the deSert institute . Air temperature averages 28. 3oc with 60. 6% relative humidity. This experiment investigates artificial shading, from june to september , on rectal temperature (ri) , respiration rate (rr) , microhaematocrit value, livebody weight)age and weight at sexual puberty as indicated by anatomical and histological feature of the male genitalia organs. Normally, animals are fed on a ration containing 1/2 kg concentrate mixture / head / day , but in the second trait an additional ration contaIning 1/4 kg of concentrate mixture head / day is also used.
