Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of crossing on efficiency of feed utilization and to study the possibility of fattening sheep on alfalfa supplement with concentrates at different levels. Sheep are divided at random within each breed group to one of three treatments according to the level of concentrates. These levels are referred to as high , medium and low. Sheep are either fed individually indoors or allowed to graze outside in the field. For the former group which includes 32 sheep, alfalfa and concentrates intake are measured and recorded while for the latter group which includes 44 sheep are recorded as well as the area grazed and the yield per square meter.
