Abstract
This Investigation Is A Contribution To The Ecology Of Spodoptera Littoralis In Certain Delta Regions, Mainly At Sakha, Kafr El-Sheikh Province. Population Dynamics Of The Cotton Leafworm Moths All The Year Round Are Studied. The Influence Of Accumulated Heat On The Size Of The Broods Is Investigated. An Evaluation Of Light-Traps As Means Of Reducing Moth Population Is Made. The Hourly Activity Of Spodoptera Littoralis Moths During The Night In Relation To Temperature And Relative Humidity Is Studied. The Relation Between The Efficiency Of Hand-Picking The Egg-Masses And Plant Growth Is Investigated. Relationship Between The Number Of Hand-Picked Egg-Masses And The Efficiency Of Collecting Together With The Relationship Between The Number Of Collected And Left-Over Egg-Masses Are Also Studied.
