Abstract

The experiment carried out took place in the medicinal and aromatic plant experimental station at the Barrage-Egypt. Two varieties of roselle plant are used. The results obtained in the present study show that: there is an inconsistant tendency to a slight increase in dry matter percent with the advance in age in leaves and sepals of both varieties. Fresh weight in leaves. Generally increases and reaches its maximum value in the sixth sampling date. The percentage of starch in leaves shows an inconsistent tendency to a slight increase with the advance in age. Total nitrogen percent shows that there is also an inconsistent tendency to a slight increase with the advance in age.
