Abstract
Within the framework of the governmental efforts to develop the desert areas great efforts are being paid to convert protions of the desert area into productive land especially with the distinct increase in population, agricultural and industrial devlopments.
In addition to ismailia canal, which is main source for surface water in this area, the groundwater resources play an importantrole in the development plan especiaaly in desert areas far from ismailia canal.
