Abstract
gabapentin GBP,a new antiepileptic drug with proven efficacy in the control of partial epilepsy as adjuvant or as a single therapy may be a more favorable alternate to sodium valproate SVP as an initial therapeutic agent in the control of generalized epileptic seizures as it has a better side effect profile and a more favorable pharmacokinetic properties.
