Abstract Two field experiments were carried out during two successive seasons of 2000/2001 and 2001/2002 at two locations i.e. El-Khattara (Sharkia Governorate) at the experimental Station Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, and the experimental Farm of El-Arish (North Saini) to evaluate some long-spike wheat cultivars (Sids 7, 8, 9, Gemmeiza 7 and 9), under different planting densities (300, 400 and 500 grain/m2) and N fertilizer levels (80, 100 and 120 kg N/fad.). Split-split plot design with three replications was followed in both seasons and at both locations. The main plots included wheat cultivars at random, while the tried densities were distributed in the sub-plots by drilling in rows distanced at 20 cm apart. whereas nitrogen fertilizer levels were allocated to the sub-sub plots. The obtained results could be summarized as follows |
