Abstract
The present investigation was carried out at mallawy Agricultural Research station farm ,during the two successive seasons 1988 to study the effect of NP fertilization levels i.e.(combination of N 45,75,105 and 135 with P2 O5 O,15 and 30 kg/fad.)plant population density i.e. 20,000,25000 and 35000 plants/fad.,on growth ,yield and yield component and grain chemical analysis of double cross 204 variety.
The experimental design was split plot with four replications.
The important results could be summarized as follows:
1-NP fertilization and plant population had a pronounced effect on plant height.
2-stem diameter was affected by NP fertilization at all growth.
