Abstract
The present work aimed to study knowledge, attitude and practice of both patients and HCP towards modes of transmission of HBV and HCV and its protective measures.
A survey was done on HCP and patients in children’s hospital of Ain Shams university.
The sample included:
1) First group is health care consumers, which is divided into tow subgroups; (80) patients attending the haematology oncology department and (25) patients attending the dialysis centre of the children’s hospital, Ain Shams University.
2) The second group is HCP which is divided into tow subgroups ;( 50) doctors and (40) nurses working at the haematology oncology department, dialysis centre and emergency department of the children’s hospital, Ain Shams University.
