Abstract
Aim of the study : - to determine the mean DMFT among preparatory school children in El-Minia district. – to determine the risk factors of dental caries among preparatory school children in el-minia district. – to detect preparatory school children knowledge, attitudes and practice towards oral and dental health. A total of 2002 child, 1001 male and 1001 females with an age ranging from 11-16 years, were chosen by strlified random sample taken from 8 preparatory schools of el-minia district. These schools represented different socioeconomic levels and different residence (urban and rural). Planning of health education programs in schools to increase the awareness of the population about the methods and timing of oral hygiene and dental care.
