Abstract
TNF- α a pleiotrophic cytokine which plays a central role in infection , inflammation and autoimmune diseases. The various functions of TNF are initiated by two distinct cell surface receptors, TNF—α R1 and TNF—α R11. Soluble TNF Rs play a role as modulators of biological function of TNF- - α in an agonist / antagonist pattern. Activation 55- KDa- TNF- R1 causes apoptosis of cells and liver failure and has been associated with human liver disorders.
