Abstract
The aim of this work is to study and determine the eitiology
of cerebral stroke ( infarction and homorrhage ) in young
female , risk factors and to find correlation between these
factors and the clinical presentaion . this study was
conducted on 50 female patient aged 15 –45 years old with
stroke . the were subjected to the following neurological
history taking complete neurolgical examintaion labratory
investigation and radiological investigation include cerebral
C.T cerbral M.R.I carotid duplex cerebral angiography and
electrocardiography . the result were as follows cardiac
cause 18 cases (36%) blood disease 11 cases (22%)
vascular diseases 4 cases (8%) hypertension 4 cases (8%)
drug abuse 4 cases (8%) oral contraceptive 3 cases (6 %)
diabetes milletus 3 cases (6%) unknown 2 cases (4%) and
migraine 1 case (2%) the major cause of stroke in young
adults is cardiac and the increase incidense of drug abuse in
stroke prevalence conclusion cerebral stroke ( infarction
and heamorrhage ) in young woman has wide eitiologic
spectrum . the principal mechanism of stroke in young
female cardiac diseases vascular disorders blood disease
stroke due to drugs abuse now represent gradual increase
as cause of stroke in young adults .
