Abstract
The aim of the present study was to study the relation between insulin
resistance syndrome and some hematological parameters including red cell
mass as a risk factor for thrombosis.
This study has been carried out on 100 subjects that were divided into
4 groups, 40 obese non diabetic, 40 first degree relatives of type 2 diabetes,
10 patients with thromboembolic disease (myocardial infarction and stroke)
and 10 apparently healthy participants as a control group.
