Out of the 26 studied patients, 86.6% were smokers. Cough dysponea, chest pain and haemoptysis were the main clinical presentations. The value of plain radiography in the present study was limited I detecting hailer abnormalities and in characterizing any soft tissue abnormality. It was difficult to verify the nature of the lesion, whether pleural or parenchyma in cases of opaque hemi thorax on conventional radiography. Plain radiograph was of benefit in detecting meditational shift pleural collection and thoracic bony cage infiltrations. |
