Abstract
This study was carried out in Animal Production Department Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, AL - Azhar University under the environmental of Assiut condition. upper Egypt, and under the supervision of the Animal production. Dept., Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University during three
consecutive production years (2002, 2003 and 2004). This study aimed to evaluate some productive and reproductive traits in Rahmani sheep and F,
cross with Chios rams ( Y2 C Y2 R). The relationships of the haemoglobin type of the ewes or lambs and some traits were also studied.
A total of 200 Rahmani ewes were bred, and produced 144 lambs
(However, 140 lambs born alive and 4 lambs died after birth) of which 1I6 were raised to weaning. The results obtained trom the analysis of the data
can be summarized as follows:
(1) Lambs performance
(2) Growth rate and feed conversion
(3) Carcass characteristics
(4) Haemoglobin types (Hb types) in ewes and lambs
