Abstract Cotton is the most important crop in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The success of cotton to maintain its place in the national economy depends upon the progress in improving its yield in quantity and quality. Cotton morphology and yield components are of great importance to cotton ”breeder and also, to cotton growers. The present -work \.as designed to survey the growth habits flowering and fruiting in five cultrvars represent?ing the two maoor cotton species, (&o-ssyjmim ^arbsdense L. ’)? It is hoped that the findings of the present study would help in improving cotton pro duction. |
