Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluate the speech changes associated with maxillary resection and subsequent prosthetic rehabilitation. Six patients were selected for this study with certain criteria. All patients were dentulous, had palatal tumors that required a maxillary resection and after operation, the soft palate remained intact or with minimal excision. Each patient received three types of obturators :
1- Immediate obturator : prepared before operation in form of simple plate and inserted in the operating room .
