Abstract

Today, s children are men of the future and they are
A big wealth. Children are the most vulnerable members
Of society for abuse, so they are in need for protection.
The syndrome of phyaical abuse was noticed the
Middle of the twentieth century by doctors such as
Caffey, who was a radiologist described limb fractures
And subdural hacmorrhages in infants. Physical abuse
Forms are multiple, the most frequent injuries are
Bruises, bone fractures, head injuries, burns and scalds,
Visceral and orofacial injuries. Sexual child abuse is the
Involvement of dependent, developmentally immature
Children and adolescents in sexual activities they do not
Truly comprehend, to which they are unable to give
Informed consent. Emotional abuse is one of the most
Difficult foms of child abuse to be defined, demonstrated
Objectively; and diagnosed and the severity of
Complications A statistical retrospective study was
Conducted at ”Bani-Sueif Forensic Medicine
Department ” of Ministry of justice in Egypt, from 2000y.
To 2007y. The results were as follows: The identified
Number of abused children was 315 cases, males were
66.31% and females were 33.69%; physical abuse
(65.39%); sexual abuse (32.06%); mixed (1.9%); neglect
(0.6%), age group 0-6(17.15%), age group 7-13
(33.65%), age group 13-18 (49.2%), 35 deaths, 71 cases of
Permanent infirmity, 209 cases recovery. Every society
Noods a varicty of ways, social, economic, moral and legal
Standards to protect their children .
