Abstract The present study included 60 adult healthy patients of both exes who underwent minor oral surgery under local analgesia in the out—patient clinic The aim of this stu9 was to evaluate the effects of Inalbuphine hydrochloride and ketamine hydrochloride as pre— -ative sedatives in anxious patients The patients were studied in three groups :— Group A : (control group) included 20 patients who received local analgesia Group B included 20 patients who received nalbuphine hydrochloride, 0.2 mg/kg intravenously, followed by local analgesic administration Group C included 20 patients who received ketamine hydrochloride 0.2 mg/kg intravenously followed by local analgesic administration All patients were prernedicated with 0.6 mg/kg atropine sulphate . The local analgesic used in all groups was 2 lidocaine with 1:80,000 adrenaline. |
