Abstract

As we know, the industry had been developed because of the
development of machines, which produce different products. This made
an increase in production and quality of products. In the past, industry
was depending on cleverness and muscles of human being. When the
electricity was discovered, the machines had a great development.
New inventions appeared after Electricity like motors, engine,
dynamo ... etc, and these inventions were very useful for machines and
made them faster and more accurate. In 1970 the electronic circuits
were designed to enhance the machine functions. Thus the PLC
module (programmable Logic Control) was designed to get more useful
performance and functions from machines. In 1990 machine suppliers
was starting to produce full programming machines CNC
(Computerized Numeric Control). In the last century we had seen the
machine with robot. Because the new machines were so expensive, this
made supervisors follow up the performance of machine on the factory.
So some companies made special notebook to write the status of
machine like production, troubleshooting, time of machine stop,
production time and setup time ... etc. Hence, I thought about a new idea
to write down reports of machine status automatically using PC
(Personal Computer). We can implement this idea by developing an
Electronic Circuit, which transfer the effective signals from machine
PLC to PC (personal Computer). Also we can develop software
program to manage signals which come from the machine. This
software has a database, which is ready to treat with signals as
variables. Thus we can follow up the machine status in long term, and
the software program will issue all required statistics and reports. Also
these reports will be very useful for production and maintenance
departments, to make correct plane to load the machine in a suitable
line. In the following chapters we will explain the idea as will as the implementation of Software and Hardware.
