Abstract • The present study was carried out in a dairy farm for studying the effect of cleaning and disinfection for production of high quality milk. 276 samples were collected from cows and milking machine before preparation of udder with iodophor and QAC separately and from milking machine by using 4 programs of cleaning and disinfection as the following: Type of samples Jodophor QAC Hypochlorite Farm system A. Milking machine (teatcups, pipelines, jars, tank) Before sanitation After sanitation In addition to 1032 quarter milk samples from 258 cows were tested for subclinical mastitis using California mastitis test. Swabs and milk samples were collected from cows free from intramammary afection after cleaning the teats and dipping with iodine 0.5% and drying after discard of foremilk.
