Abstract SUMMARY Injcctable hormonal contraceptives, are among the must effective methods of contraception available today. It is estimated that over 10 million women used this Method, and approximately 1.5 millions are currently using it. The aim of this work was to study the contraceptive if E icacy» side effects and mc?r a bo] ic changes in women using the monthly injectable contraceptive HKP-1D2 (NET-EN 50 mg + estradiol valerate 5 m^ ) . The chosen subjects were selected from those women attending the family planning Aclinic of 5 h a t b y Maternity Hospital. Before the fir^U injection, the purpose of the study and the possibility side effects were explained to them. They are advised t<? attend Lhe clinic at the scheduled follow up intervals.
